 As our Head of Assessment, you’ll be responsible for owning our Assessment of Potential strategy, leading the design and development of innovative solutions to address complex/multifaceted client needs. A true visionary, you’ll have deep subject matter skills in the design of assessment solutions, with a passion for identifying potential in individuals, and innovating new and exciting ways of working. You’ll have an appetite to take on a key leadership abilities position to take your prosperous Assessment career to the next level. Leading on highly complex strategic, high value projects, involving multiple decision-makers at a senior level within client organisations, working with and supported by a team of outstanding Design and Delivery Assessment Consultants, alongside our team of Developers, shaping the technology we deliver our solutions on.
You’ll led and manage a team of practiced and junior Assessment Design Consultants, Assessors and Quality Assurance Consultants, setting the standard internally and ensuring outstanding delivery to our clients, reporting into the Head of Client Success.  You’ll play an integral function in identifying and supporting new business efforts including attending client meetings and pitches as well as writing proposals or inputting into tenders, and develop senior relationships with our clients to grow revenue and new opportunities. You’ll ensure that all projects are appropriately resourced, utilising Associate resource and resource within the Assessment Consulting team within agreed rates and margins in order to maximise profit to ensure overall profitcapability for Assessment Solutions.
You’ll actively represent Amberjack through a range of marketing assets and media, with professional bodies or client groups, presenting at a range of conferences and hosting webinars. And will work alongside our Delivery and Business Development teams to support the growth of existing clients and securing new logo business. You’ll have significant senior involvement in new business scoping, pitches, proposals and RFIs with practice of working with Development or product teams to launch or evolve Assessment tech. You’ll maintain a great industry network and play a key function as a member of Amberjack’s Operational Board, owning the Assessment revenue target and tracking your P&L, as well as advocating and enabling new and innovative solutions and products to anticipate and respond to client and market needs.
About You:
   » You will have significant practice in occupational psychology, Consultancy or HR, to include significant client facing and commercial practice, and a strong background in assessment for selection
   » Sound knowledge of business practice, constraints and HR issues by working in our industry
   » Confident undertaking all aspects of selection process design for high volume recruitment
   » Must have good commercial consciousness and understand how projects should be priced and delivered effectively to ensure margin control
   » A proven background in occupational or business psychology or assessment for selection
   » Proven track record of leading and innovating high-profile assessment projects 
   » Deep knowledge of assessment frameworks from first principles
   » Must be registered as an Occupational Test User: capability and Personality
   » Up to date technical knowledge of innovative assessment for selection tools and processes
   » Proven track record of leading high-level assessment projects
   » Development of competency models/assessment frameworks from first principles
   » practice of designing immersive selection tools and materials
   » Excellent market knowledge of psychometric products
   » Carrying out new project activity including conducting scoping/diagnostic meetings, writing proposals and delivering presentations (ideally gained in a client facing context but would consider equivalent in-house practice)
   » Significant programme/project management practice
   » A working knowledge of SPSS or similar
   » A working knowledge of the Early Talent recruitment market and how this compares to practiced hire recruitment
   » Detail conscious with capability to quality assure all design work
   » capability to coach, develop and mentor others
   » Internal & External ambassador for Inclusivity and Diversity
   » Presenting at industry events/conferences
   » Great influencing and relationship-building skills
