About the function
The College of Business, Law and Social Science's vision is to be recognised internationally as a leading business and social science college for applied real world learning and creating opportunities for a diverse range of students to attain their full potential and to become prosperous and responsible future leaders. The Accounting, Economics and Finance Division at the University of Derby is a growing discipline with our Accounting and Economics programmes ranking in the top 10 for overall satisfaction in the National Student Survey. As part of our growth strategy, We are pursuing to appoint a highly qualified individual for the post of Associate Professor in Accounting. Candidates undertaking research in all areas of accounting are encouraged to apply for the post. Our research focus is to conduct research that supports and informs the creation of Better Business and Better Society and makes a real difference.
You will be expected to demonstrate excellent research capabilities and pursue high quality publications at national and international levels in the field of accounting; contribute to, develop and deliver excellent teaching and leading-edge practice at a national and international level; actively engage in the activities and earnings generation opportunities at school and college level; build on an existing track record of postgraduate research supervision.
