Senior Application Analyst
Reporting to: Application Services Manager (Student Systems)
Overview of function
As a member of the Application Services team, you will provide the highest standard of Student application service to staff and students of Kings' College London.
This Senior application function requires good technical skills, an knowledge of Higher Education business processes and a desire to improve the service for all Student applications, these include our student information system (SITS), our admissions portal and our timetabling system (Scientia). The function holder will be responsible for quality assurance and creating documentation to support the service delivery. There will be a requirement to be involved in both strategic and operational projects and service improvements.
The post-holder will be expected to work closely, and on their own initiative, with staff across IT Services and King's College London. You will be responsible for providing professional application life-cycle management and be able to contact with all service management teams, where appropriate.
A good knowledge of Higher education is desirable, training and mentoring could be provided to develop the prosperous candidate's skills.
Accountabilities
This is an IT Application Services function located at Quintdown, and although this function sits within IT Services, we will be looking for the prosperous applicant to work collaboratively with the whole of IT and the wider university.
IT Services continues to develop and improve service provisions and some involvement around a number of additional and strategically important areas of delivery, may be required, these include:
   » Annual Upgrade Process and software updates
   » Testing and upgrade projects
   » quality, data, and archiving
   » Support portfolio projects
   » Assist in managing and developing the IT Application Services capcapability at Quintdown.
