Graduate Research adjunct:Job description:Job location: Cornwall College of Life and Environmental Sciences This full-time post is available from 25 April 2022 on a fixed term basis until 26 August 2022.this function offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some in the house. The post The College wishes to recruit a Graduate Research adjunct to provide research and organise support for a civilsociety assemblythat will contribute to the Annual Review of the Cornwall Plan as part of a British Academy funded research project on Shared knowledges of a Sustainable Future. We are seeking for an outgoing, well-organised, action researcher to join a team of academics who are exploring ways to support civil society organisations and local councils to make a stronger contribution to local governance for more sustainable futures. Cornwall has a rich network of civil society organisations and local councils already tackling social and ecological challenges. Our project is designed to explore ways to better support and integrate their work with the broader ambitions of the Cornwall Plan (see here:Cornwall Plan 2020 - 2050 | Together We Can | Let's Talk Cornwall). The post is located in Cornwall and much of the work is local.Key tasks include: contacting local organisations; surveying and mapping their areas of focus; identifying ways to support emerging ideas for action; coordinating a steering group of key organisations to plan an assembly in June; supporting the assembly; documenting the activity; writing it up for reports and publication; contributing to the project team meetings and discussion. About you The prosperous applicant will be able to present information on research progress and results, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies. candidates will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/practice in a related field of study or equivalent practice and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.
