We are seeking for post-doctoral scientist to join our stem cell research group located at the Hawkshead Campus for a 24 month fixed term position. You will work on a project to refine a DNA-located genomic tool to identify Thoroughbred horses at high risk of bone fracture through the identification of specific SNPs that contribute significantly to fracture risk. A range of in silico and in vitro tools will be utilised to determine the impact of SNPs including cell culture models.
We are seeking for candidates with a PhD in genetics or molecular/cell biology who is highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong communication and interpersonal expertise. Good molecular and computational biology expertise including cell culture and whole genome sequencing analysis are essential.
