Job Opportunity: Lecturer In Veterinary Professional Development:Job description:Job location: Keele income range: Grade 7a £36,382 - £42,149 pro rata Part time .5 FTE As the Harper and Keele Veterinary School grows, We are pursuing to appoint a suitably qualified and practiced veterinary surgeon to lead in this key area of the curriculum. The prosperous candidate will play a vital function in the BVetMS programme team, having primary responsibility for the professional development of veterinary students within the foundation phase of the BVetMS programme. The appointee will design and implement contemporary and holistic learning & teaching approaches to developing veterinary professionalism, thereby contributing significantly to the development and implementation of a new veterinary curriculum that is both innovative in its design and inclusive in its delivery. The appointee will be expected to deliver face-to-face lectures and tutorials on both the Harper Adams and Keele University sites, regardless of whichever site becomes their nominal home base, and also to participate in streamed lectures and lecture capture. A candidate who does not currently have a teaching qualification will be supported to achieve at least a postgraduate certificate in higher education within three years of employment. The Harper & Keele Vet School is a joint venture between Harper Adams and Keele Universities, bringing together two distinctive institutions with a track record of excellence in teaching and student practice to provide an exciting opportunity for veterinary students to train, making use of resources at each campus and at partner sites including multiple vet practices and farms. this function will require regular travel between Keele University and Harper Adams University campuses.
