The University of Northampton is seeking an inspirational Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Immunology. You will join a growing, dynamic, and collegiate team with an embedded culture of student-focused teaching and high impact research.
The post holder will be expected to deliver outstanding teaching across all levels of our expanding portfolio of undergraduate and taught Masters' programmes. They will be responsible for curriculum design, delivery, and depending on the level of appointment, leadership abilities of modules and/or programmes. The prosperous applicant will also be expected to contribute positively to partner and stakeholder engagement activity in support of the student practice.
As an academic, you will also be expected to contribute to the research and scholarly output of the subject area and work collegiately with other researchers within the Faculty and wider University. Research and scholarship are supported through our research centres, mentor scheme, and twenty-five days' leave for scholarly activity.
We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. About you
You will have a background in Immunology and possess subject skills to support infection, immunity and cell biology teaching across our Life Science programmes including BSc Biological Science, BSc Biomedical Science, BSc Health Sciences, MSc Molecular Bioscience and the newly validated BSc Biochemistry and Pharmacology programmes (beginning 2022/23).
The prosperous candidate will be ICT literate and have practice in leading modules and programmes in HE settings. You will be highly disciplined, organised, supportive, and able to work collegiately within a team. A good record of recent high impact research publications, prosperous grant applications, and/or generation of commercial income, would be welcomed.

Qualifications
Essential:
   » Degree qualification or equivalent in significant subject
   » Doctorate in significant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion
   » Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or availability to obtain within an agreed timescale
Desirable:
   » Master's degree in significant subject
   » significant professional qualification
