About the function:
Our Sustaincapability Team is part of Estates and Facilities Services and leads the development and delivery of our sustaincapability strategy, focussing on our non-academic operations such as carbon reduction, waste minimisation and active travel. We are pursuing to appoint a Sustaincapability Data Manager to join our team to develop and manage the systems and processes to support delivery of our sustaincapability strategy.
You will use your talents for data collection, analysis and presentation to support the achievement of our ambitious sustaincapability and zero carbon goals. This will include strengthening our approach to energy monitoring and targeting and superviseing our utility invoicing process, but also extending our management information systems into new areas such as scope 3 carbon emissions from travel and procurement. Your capability to communicate clear conclusions from your analysis will influence both day-to-day operations as well as our future strategy and investments.
With a degree plus demonstrable practice and significant professional/degree level qualification appropriate for the function, you will also have membership of a significant professional body e.g. IEMA. You will have a consummate expertise and passion for sustaincapability combined with a flair for data collection systems, analysis and presentation. You will have a prosperous track record in a similar function at a large organisation, not necessarily in the higher education sector, possibly gained in energy or carbon management. Attention to detail, strong interpersonal expertise and the capability to own and solve problems will be essential in this function.
