The Department of Engineering is at the forefront offering an exciting range of engineering courses and delivering innovative projects including ground located off-highway platforms, mobile robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles and the development of innovative agricultural machines and systems for Agri-Food and related sectors. New and exciting developments in facilities, curriculum, research and commercial project work has led to the recruitment of a Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering Lecturer with responsibility to manage and coordinate apprenticeship programmes delivered by the department. This is a challenging yet compensateing function that will require the postholder to teach a range of engineering subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The postholder will also undertake tasks to coordinate, manage and develop the apprenticeship programme in Food Engineering. The function of apprenticeship coordinator will ensure effective planning and delivery of the programme and allocation of staff and physical resources to support all teaching and learning activities. The function will also involve active contribution to participating in teaching, research and technology transfer activities. This is a management position with a strong practical outlook that will demand a responsive and committed approach to the function.
