Head of Sustaincapability:Job description:Job location: Guildford We're recruiting a Head of Sustaincapability to join our Estates and Facilities Management Team to develop, lead, and deliver the University's Operational Sustaincapability Strategy including the University's 2030 Net Zero Strategy You'll be superviseing and co-ordinating the delivery of projects and programmes currently in the region of £20 million to improve environmental sustaincapability at the University across a wide variety of areas including (energy and carbon reduction, water efficiency, supply chain emissions, transport, waste and re-use and catering). You will be joining a community dedicated to protecting and enhancing the environment; leading a team that includes an Energy Manager, Sustaincapability & Energy adjunct, Sustaincapability Communications adjunct, Fleet Manager, PhD students and specialist contractors and consultants. About you You'll be an accomplished leader with a background in Environmental and Operational Management who works collaboratively across all stakeholder groups and can engage, inspire, and influence at all levels; providing a clear vision, harnessing the ideas and talents of your team as you develop our strategy. You'll have excellent judgement and professional expertise to ensure we achieve continuous improvement and maximise impact, both financially and on the health and safety of those within the University. As an active member of the senior leadership abilities team, you'll be able to build credibility quickly with strong communication expertise and an capability to provide pragmatic advice and deliver commercially sound solutions. You'll be professionally qualified with significant leadership abilities practice, and proven success in managing and developing a significant team of practiced professionals.
