Job Opportunity: Academic Policy Advisor:Job description:Job location: Bath About the function this function provides key support for all aspects of quality assurance and academic governance operations across the University, and provides expert advice to academic and professional services staff. The Academic Policy Advisors operate as a team, with each having responsibility as a key contact to academic Schools of the University for day-to-day advice, and also leading on quality assurance and enhancement-related projects within the Academic Governance and Policy department. this function provides administrative and advisory support within the department and to Academic Board committees in the management and enhancement of academic quality and standards across the University. This includes acting as Secretary to committees and other panels carrying out quality management-related work of the University. About you (requirements) You will be reflective and enthusiastic with practice of quality assurance in the higher education sector and a commitment to continuing your personal and professional development. Your approach will be collegiate both within and beyond the Academic Governance and Policy department. You will have the confidence and professionalism to develop and maintain productive relations with internal staff at all levels of seniority, as well as external advisors and collaborative partner staff. Solution-focused and using sound judgement and initiative, you will apply your expertise of set guidelines and procedures appropriately in relation to problem-solving, and make connections across different areas of work. You will work effectively within the team to identify solutions for wider or complex issues. You will also have excellent written and oral communication expertise, including the capability to understand and explain complex concepts clearly.
