An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Department of Computer Science. we At Presenthold Bronze Athena Swan award and we are working to maintain that in 2023 as well as starting to build the foundations to develop and grow for the future in relation to EDI and Athena Swan.
You will work closely with the department's Director for Environment (Athena Swan academic lead), Head of Administration and Finance, HR team and agents from the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division and members of the Department's Self-Assessment Team (SAT).
You will assist with the preparation, collection of data and final production for the Department's re-submission for the Bronze Athena award in 2023, including an action plan aimed at improving gender balance.
The prosperous candidate will act as the point of reference, advice and guidance for Athena Swan, liaising with staff and students across the department as part of the exercise. You will also provide training around EDI to staff. Strong organisational, planning and communication (oral and written) expertise are essential, together with a flexible approach, responding to the requests of the Athena Swan SAT.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and project management expertise, familiarity with the University EDI agenda and its broader landscape. candidates should have a university degree, excellent project management expertise, be able to work independently, with the capability to create reports, collate and analyse data, on time and to a high standard, sharing best practice.
