Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Interior Architecture (Design Studio):Job description:Job location: Brighton, Moulsecoomb The School of Architecture, Technology and Engineering is looking to appoint a Lecturer to deliver design modules in our BA(Hons) Interior Architecture course, which is well established with a history of excellence in industry-focussed design education and award-winning graduates. As the prosperous candidate, you will have appropriate professional and teaching practice in Interior Architecture, and have knowledge that supports the delivery of a curriculum that spans the cultural, socio-economic, and physical aspects of Interior Architecture. Teaching practice in higher education is desirable, as are strong design and communications expertise, a thorough consciousness of the subject area, to impart an knowledge of design practice through a range of teaching activities. In addition to which, you should also have: » A strong knowledge of current developments in Interior Architecture. » Knowledge of validation criteria. » An consciousness of contemporary Interior Architecture practice is essential, including emerging modes of practice and interdisciplinary collaboration » Competent IT expertise and effective use of IT for teaching and learning Our lecturers are expected to actively engage in course administration, student recruitment and additional tasks as required for the prosperous delivery of the courses. You will also be expected to be able to contribute to humanities and / or Architectural technologies courses. The school is particularly keen to appoint lecturers who are research active to support future REF (Research Excellence Framework) submission. This post permanent, and is full-time (1.0 full-time equivalent), however we welcome job sharing applications.
