Context and tasks of the function
The Principal Investigator for the project, Dr Rebecca Warren, is looking to appoint a Post-Doctoral Researcher to deliver specific objectives related to her recent award. Appointment to this post will be made as Senior Research agent and will be referred to by this title in any other documentation.
This project will focus on evaluating the All In programme that Eastlight have proposed, including, but not limited to the use of Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodologies, Theory of Change, Asset-located Community Development, Community Organising and Community-located Participatory Action Research. Through these approaches, the team will develop a bespoke evaluation framework to measure and calculate the impact of the All-In programme over a 12-month period. This framework will be mapped against the programme's theory of change, and we will work to adapt and develop the theory of change as necessary. We will capture the impacts of the programme through mainly qualitative methods. We will draw on Community-located Participatory Action Research to ensure that we work together with Eastlight as research partners and the community members themselves in the project.
You will be required to have day-to-day responsibility for the implementation of the research and evaluation project with Eastlight Homes on their all-in Program. tasks will include, but not be limited to, collection and analysis of data, which will include travelling to meet with Eastlight and across the 4 geographies that are the focus of the All In Programme to work with the key stakeholders and communities, and preparation of research outputs from the project.

Qualifications and expertise required
candidates must have completed a PhD in a significant subject area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research methods (qualitative mainly, but also some quantitative practice), practice designing, conducting, and analysing significant research, and practice in prosperously working in a multi-disciplinary, cross-institutional team and presentation practice.
You will also hold the significant expertise: Excellent problem-solving expertise, including the capability to analyse complex information and summarise appropriately; strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail and the capability to work without direct supervision; strong communication expertise, both written and spoken, in English language, with the capability to contact with internal and external partners; excellent time management and prioritisation expertise in order to work to tight deadlines; and capability to work as part of a team.
This post is fixed-term, part-time for 28.8 hours per week (0.8 FTE) for 12 months from the contract start date, in line with the award funding.
