Research Support agent:Job description:Job location: Sheffield We are pursuing to appoint a professional and proactive administrator who is able to provide high quality, customer focussed research support (primarily pre-award) to our Research Support team within the Faculty of Engineering. You will be an integral member of a Faculty research support team, located in a hub cluster working across a group of departments and will report to one of the Research Hub Managers. This is a key function whereby you will work with a team of colleagues to deliver high quality research administration to academics, researchers and professional services colleagues. Your core responsibilities will be split into four areas; research grant support, research governance administration, updating and maintaining research information systems and providing administration to faculty or department research committees and groups. You will ideally have previous practice of working in a research or higher education environment, supporting the development of research grants. expertise of project funders (eg. UKRI or Innovate UK) would be beneficial but not essential. You will also have administrative practice in costing, budgeting, diary management and meeting organisation and with dealing with personal and confidential information. Candidates must be educated to A level standard (or equivalent qualifications/work practice). A good honours degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
