We are pursuing a Complaints & Conduct Administrator to work alongside our Complaints & Conduct Adviser to support activities connected with the student complaints and conduct processes and policies at BU including those aligned to Fitness to Practise, student discipline and student complaints, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are carried out in line with BU student complaints and conduct policies and within stated policy deadlines. The postholder will also act as the first point of contact for student complaints.
The function is located within the Frontline Services Team that is managed within BU's Student Services and the postholder will work very closely with faculty staff and Academic Services. There will be a particularly close working relationship with senior staff in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences in relation to Fitness to Practice cases.
The prosperous candidate will have a methodical approach to work and is likely to have practice in dealing with sensitive and confidential situations and the capability to remain calm and courteous.
This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service's Points located System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.
This post is available part-time for 22 hours per week to be worked over 4-5 days per week to be agreed with postholder flexibility will be required to ensure cover for hearings and key university activities.
This post is primarily located at our Talbot Campus however the postholder may also be required to work at our Lansdowne Campus on occasions to support business needs. Occasional weekend and/or evening working may be required to support critical business activities at key points in the year.
