Join our highly-regarded team at the University's Kent Business School during this interesting time as we continue to go through a period of transformational change. This exciting opportunity is for an practiced HR Coordinator (0.6 FTE) to join our HR team.
Working with the HR Manager, Adviser and Apprentice, you'll contribute to the delivery of a tailored HR service with specific responsibility for contract management and terms and conditions as well as involvement in recruitment & selection processes. this function works in a devolved HR structure and you'll need to strike the balance between implementing local HR practices that are needed within the division, and ensuring that University policies, procedures and guidance are adhered to, enabling consistency and ultimately mitigating people-related risks.
The function holder will also act as the first point of contact for all general HR enquiries from both managers and staff members from within the Division, exercising judgement and respecting and maintaining confidentiality at all times; referring more complex issues to appropriate colleagues as needed. The function holder will also be expected to provide input into the review of current processes and procedures to inform the enhancement of the customer practice both within the Division and across the wider University.
A key requirement of the function is to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the central HR teams, along with all other HR Co-ordinators across the University. This is a pivotal factor in driving the consistency of application of all people practices at the University and will enable the continual sharing of best practice.

   » recent practice of working in an HR function
   » the capability to manage a wide-ranging workload with competing priorities
   » excellent interpersonal expertise and the capability to deal confidently and diplomatically at all levels
   » a availability to work flexibly and lgain new expertise
