Job Offer: Senior Researcher in Business and Policy:Job description:Job location: Loughborough University, Loughborough Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering The function will include innovativequalitative and quantitativeresearch,authoring of whitepapers, and provision ofbriefings, including on existing and new government initiatives related to Industrial Policy. The prosperous candidate will have a broad knowledge and knowledgeofthemanufacturing and engineering sector including an appreciation ofsupply chains and their associate issues and challenges and with technical coverage fromemerging technologies to renewable energy. The candidates will be comfortable in presenting to a broad audience, including academia, industry and government. The Industrial Policy Research Centre works closely with a number of organisations, both regionally and nationally, and outstanding communications expertise are an essential requirement for the position. The position is a full time fixed term appointment for 12 months. The Centre is a vibrant, dynamic and growing team, and looks forward to an additionalmember to support its contribution to the debate as to how manufacturing will play its function in the creation of jobs, growth and the wider economic recovery.
