This is an exciting opportunity to join the Public Health team at Swindon Borough Council and contribute to a wide variety of programmes designed to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population and reduce inequalities.
We are seeking for a great analyst who will bring data to life, turning it into insight which informs decision making and helps to develop evidence located needs assessments. You will be comfortable with using data to test hypotheses and be skilled at presenting your findings to a range of audiences in a clear and accessible way.
You will be a high performing and enthusiastic individual who is able to build effective relationships with colleagues and partners. You will be highly numerate with statistical and data analysis expertise, report writing, and an knowledge of how health data can be used to drive change.
Your next function
this function will contribute to the planning, development and implementation, and monitoring of health improvement initiatives to improve population health in Swindon.
A key part of the function is to provide health intelligence and evidence review input into public health and NHS strategic planning, commissioning and service evaluation. This will include (i) managing the impact of the coronavirus pandemic within Swindon and (ii) supporting the substance use disorder commissioning team.
