Job Opportunity: Junior Technician:Job description:Job location: Gwynedd income: £18,712 - £20,092 p.a. (Grade 3) Applications are invited for this permanent, full-time junior technician post working within the College of Environmental Sciences and Electronic Engineering. tasks will include providing technical support within the College with a particular focus on support for the teaching laboratories and connected facilities in the School of Natural Sciences. Candidates should be educated to GCSE/NVQ level I standard or equivalent, have a basic expertise of health and safety in order to follow instructions in a safe manner and will be practiced in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams). Candidates should be able to carry and move equipment across the School and wider campus as necessary as the function requires significant manual handling of samples and equipment. Candidates must be physically fit as the function requires the prosperous applicant to be active for the greater part of the day with some element of manual handling. Candidate must be organised, have an enthusiastic proactive attitude with good communication expertise and equally happy to work alone or as part of a team.
