Senior Finance adjunct:Job description:Job location: Bath We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Finance adjunct to join our earnings team within the Finance and Procurement department. About us: The Finance and Procurement Office is responsible for managing the University's income, expenditure, financial performance and procurement processes, ensuring value for money in its financial activities. In addition, the department provides high quality management accounting support as well as compliance with statutory and regulatory bodies. We operate a flexi-time policy and have recently moved to hybrid working subject to operational requirements. Hybrid working is one of the many ways we recognise the importance of achieving a positive work life balance. Whilst the exact days you can work remotely will differ between teams and departments, it should provide you with greater flexibility, provided you are in the UK. Lgain more about ourfuture ways of workingand explore further at interview.About the function: The function is varied and interesting and forms part of a small team responsible for the processing of University's earnings via many different platforms. The main tasks include: » raising and approving invoices » maintaining the customer data base » the reconciliation of foreign bank accounts » assisting with the tuition fees Direct Debit collections. You will be dealing with students, commercial customers and department enquiries providing an excellent service to all our customers. As this function is in a finance environment a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential at all times.About you: You should have previous practice of working in a busy Accounts Receivable function or similar. Attention to detail is very important, as is the capability to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities. You will need to work closely with other team members, students and departments within the University, so effective communication expertise are essential. You should have strong computer expertise in Excel and Word, and while practice in the use of university-specific software (Agresso and SAMIS) is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
