Job Opportunity: EDI Coordinator (multiple posts):Job description:Job location: Nottingham
Are you looking to take your next step in a career in the higher education sector that gives you the chance to progress equality, equity, diversity and inclusion? An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator to engage and empower colleagues across the University of Nottingham to make the organisation inclusive for all. You will work collaboratively across the University on a given EDI theme (LGBTQIA+ or Gender) and, for some of your time, you'll also have a specific faculty to work with (Engineering or Science) on local level initiatives and projects that progress EDI. As EDI Coordinator, you will be responsible for engaging and empowering colleagues and other stakeholders to help make the University of Nottingham inclusive for all. You will strengthen the University's implementation and embedding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion as part of an ambitious Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Delivery Plan. The function guides and negotiates impactful, ambitious and data-informed activity that progresses equality, equity, diversity and inclusion for all. This is achieved through consultation with a wide variety of stakeholders. This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours), however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 30 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. As an inclusive recruiter, job share arrangements and compressed working will also be considered- taking such things into account is part of what we do! The University of Nottingham also supports hybrid working with arrangements agreed locally. In practice this means the team balances the working week with some time spent on campus and some time spent working in the house to support flexibility while still meeting business needs. Our University is a supportive, inclusive, caring and positive community. We warmly welcome those of different cultures, ethnicities and beliefs - indeed this very diversity is vital to our success, it is fundamental to our values and enriches life on campus. We very much hope to see applications from a wide variety of people and would be very open to discuss adjustments that may be required at any part of the recruitment process to help everyone be equitably set up for success. Informal enquiries may be addressed to Janette Alvarado-Cruz, email Janette.Alvarado-Cruz@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
