Job location: Limited in person training sessions required with trainees located in London.

Bath Spa is a Teach First University Partner for the South West and London regions as well as a new national cohort. This post will be primarily to support the London located ECTs in their second year of the PGDE programme. However, you may also be asked to work on the new national programme with the 2022 Year 1 cohort or support the wider work of the School of Education.
About the function
This is an exciting opportunity to join Bath Spa University's training partnership with Teach First. The function will involve devising and delivering high quality PGDE content with an R.E. subject expertise and pedagogy focus to a small number of D.T. ECTs. The impact of this support is to enhance ECTs critical reflections on literature and practice, to further develop their practice. The post will also require you to work effectively alongside Bath Spa University team members, Teach First colleagues and in some cases school leaders to be an important part of a holistic support package for the students.
The function will involve setting and marking masters level assignments and a continued commitment to scholarly activity and research.
About you (requirements)
We are seeking for an individual who is a D.T. Secondary Specialist, has proven teaching excellence and practice in supporting the development of trainees or recently qualified teachers. You should have practice of leading continued professional development activity, with a good expertise of pedagogy and academic practices. We are seeking for a strong communicator who is able to work flexibly across partnerships and with a wide variety of individuals. This may be working at a local level or with partner universities at a national level. You should be postgraduate educated.
