Student Advice and Guidance agent:Job description:Job location: Wrexham Following a 2-year HEFCW funded project called ?Enhancing Student Well-being through social prescribing', and as one of the first Universities in the UK to embed a social prescribing model as part of its student support services, Wrexham Glyndwr University is now looking to recruit skilled and practiced professionals to join the Student and Campus Life Directorate. The Student Advice & Guidance agent function is a key post within the student support team and the prosperous candidate will be expected to lead, implement, and manage an accessible gateway (Physical and digital) that offers a triage system that ensures students receive the right advice, guidance and support at the right time, in the right place and in the right format. The post holder will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Advice Zone team which includes Student connectors and our Volunteer Chaplains/Faith advisors, ensuring that the teams play a pivotal function in enhancing the student practice and supporting retention. We are therefore looking for an practice individual who has an in-depth knowledge of the HE sector and the student practice, particularly in relation to supporting students with advice and guidance. Educated to degree level, the prosperous candidate must also have the capability to manage and prioritise a large and diverse workload in a demanding environment. The capability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
