Due to continued growth in our highly prosperous taught programmes, along with internal promotions, We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Operations and Strategic Management, to join our Department of Business and Management.
About us: The department comprises four subject clusters. One of the clusters is the Strategy and Operations Management (SOM) cluster, which also covers Project, Supply Chain and Information Management, International Business, and Enterprise and Innovation. The post holder will join a vibrant and growing team who are engaged in a broad range of scholarly activities and research.

Colleagues in SOM contribute to teaching across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the wider Faculty of Business and Law and the prosperous applicant will be expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching activities of the group at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About you: The nature of the subject group's teaching means that candidates should be confident, outgoing and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large and sometimes interdisciplinary modules, as well as independently on smaller, specialist, modules.
To succeed this function you will require:
   » a sufficient depth and currency of specialist expertise in Operations and Strategic Management or Project Management, ideally with the capability to contribute to other related subject areas within the cluster, such as Supply Chain Management, Innovation, Enterprise or International Business.
   » demonstrate a commitment to teaching with the capability to engage and inspire students within a variety of academic settings
   » be able to design innovative teaching materials and use technology to deliver excellent student practice
   » demonstrates a commitment research and/or expertise exchange through publications, grants or industry engagement activities
