About the function
This is an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Physical Education & School Sport to join our dynamic Sport and Physical Activity department who are committed to providing a high-quality and innovative teaching and learning practice, with emphasis on both theoretical and practical components.
Supported by high quality specialist spaces, well equipped psychology, biomechanics and physiology laboratories, a dedicated multi activity teaching gymnasium, and use of high-specification indoor and outdoor facilities, you will contribute to the delivery, teaching and assessment of the BA (Hons) Physical Education and School Sport degree and contribute to module delivery in other areas of our Sport and Physical Activity programme.
About You
As Lecturer in Physical Education & School Sport, you will have a background in the theoretical and practical aspects of physical education pedagogy and have practice in teaching and assessment at undergraduate level. Committed to enhancing the student practice you will have excellent communication expertise and the capability and commitment to design and implement innovative approaches to subject and module delivery.
Holder of a PhD in a significant field you will have an emerging or proven track record in research and publication with the capability to contribute to research activity across the across the complementary areas of sport and exercise sciences, physical activity and health, sports injuries, professional practice and pedagogy, and social science of sport and physical activity.
