About the function This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Simulation and expertise Education to join the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine. In this function you will lead and develop innovations in Simulation and expertise Education, leading a team of Facilitators and Technicians to provide an intellectually stimulating, creative and inclusive environment, where health and social care education using simulation-located learning practices, is of the highest standard enhancing competence, employcapability, strengthening collaborative practice and improving safety and quality. The multi-million-pound Clinical expertise and Simulation Centre at Ormskirk campus provides advanced facilities for our Health, Social Care and Medicine programmes. We also have additional campuses in Liverpool and Manchester that also provide simulation and expertise facilities, all designed to be flexible and adaptable, and meet today and tomorrow's needs. A key aspect of the function will be to lead and manage the strategic development and management of multiprofessional simulated education and expertise provision across a range of programmes. Embedding academic excellence through collaborative partnerships and developing a research culture whereby priorities are pushed forward for research, expertise exchange, and for teaching excellence, raising the profile of the Clinical Simulation and expertise Centre both regionally, nationally, and internationally. You will contribute to the further development of a high-performance culture through staff engagement and providing leadership abilities to academic staff across all provision. About You and professional management and leadership abilities in the development and delivery of simulation and expertise provision within an academic setting. You will have a prosperous track record of developing and sustaining strong partnerships and collaborations including those with local health and social care providers You will understand the key drivers and considerations for developing and delivering programmes in areas relating to health, social care, and medicine, including inter-professional learning and simulation. You will have excellent strategic leadership abilities expertise including highly effective communication and people expertise with excellent emotional intelligence and a demonstrated capability to prosperously lead change in a complex environment. You will be willing to engage in research activity, enterprise, influencing the delivery of contemporary and cutting-edge simulation and expertise provision, developing a culture of integrating research and teaching and supporting and valuing individuals to reach their full potential and flourish.
