Vaccine expertise and Public Engagement Manager:Job description:Job location: Oxford Job location: Oxford Vaccine Group, CCVTM, Churchill Hospital, Oxford income: Grade 7: £42,149 - £50,296 per annum (with a discretionary range to £54,943 per annum) Advert Text:This is an exciting opportunity for a ?Vaccine expertise and Public Engagement Manager' within Oxford Vaccine Group to lead on communications and engagement on vaccine consciousness. Oxford Vaccine Group has over 25 years' practice in vaccine research from preclinical development to policy influencing trials. The Vaccine expertise Project was developed to raise public consciousness of the importance of vaccination and the website is used by the public and health professionals, with over 2 million page views in 2020. This is an exciting time to get involved with vaccine communication, when vaccine hesitancy is a globally recognised health threat, both for COVID-19 and childhood vaccine preventable diseases. The post is full-time for 2 years in the first instance. this function will provide an opportunity to develop scientific communications materials both digitally and for community engagement; expand our online content to reach a more global audience; and increase the use of social media to deliver key public health messages, particularly to younger audiences. The prosperous candidate will be responsible for the development of online content bringing together the latest information about vaccine safety and covering misinformation. The function requires the capability to stay up to date with the latest research and to translate scientific language into understandable formats for distribution online.
