Offer: PhD Studentships:Job description:Qualification Type: PhD The Department of Sociology at the University of York has funding availableto support two full-time PhD studentships. prosperous candidates will receive a stipend in line with UKRI rates and a fee waiver at home student rates for a period of three years. International candidates are welcome to apply but please note that we are unable to waive the full international fee. Since its establishment in 1963, the Department has risen to become one of the top-rated UK sociology departments for research (coming first overall in both REF 2014 and RAE 2008, and first for research impact in REF 2021). Our postgraduate researchers take the expertise, practices and unique insights gained at York Sociology to forge prosperous careers all over the world. We invite the submission of PhD proposals that align with one of our four research clusters: Culture, Valuesand Practices; Gender, Sexualities and Inequalities; Language and Social Interaction; and Science, Health and Technology. If you already have the offer of a PhD place for Sociology at York for October 2022 but have been unable to secure funding, you will automatically be considered for an award and so you do not need to apply again.
