The School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen's University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research adjunct in the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research (PGJCCR).
The post-holder will be located within the radiotherapy physics service in the NI Cancer Centre and participate in scientific research activities in radiation oncology physics. The Research adjunct will work in close collaboration with physics, clinical and radiographic staff at the Northern Ireland Cancer Centre and the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research and Queen's University Belfast.
The prosperous candidate must have and your CV/Cover letter (or application form) should clearly demonstrate you have:
   » A minimum of a 1st class Honours degree, or equivalent, in Physics or other appropriate science subject
Or
   » A 2nd class Honours degree with MSc in Physics or other appropriate science subject.
   » 1-3 years significant research practice. This will include 1-2 years research practice in an area of physics related to radiation science or in area requiring advance computational expertise.
   » practice of multi-disciplinary team working.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availcapability of funding.
