The function

The School is a lively, friendly community with research, innovation and teaching strengths across the spectrum of computing. Including secure and resilient systems, data science and artificial intelligence, model-located and formal methods, bioinformatics and complex biosystems, distributed systems, human computer interaction and educational practice in computing.

As a Postgraduate Teacher, you will mainly carry out teaching within a clear and established programme, with guidance and support. You will be delivering teaching activities as well as marking coursework and exams, providing timely and effective feedback to students and Postgraduate project supervision, with a focus on providing a high-quality learning and teaching practice to students. You will be supported to develop your own professional practice.

How to Apply:
candidates need to be enrolled on a PGR programme at Newcastle University and able to demonstrate the capability to deliver teaching in Computer Science. candidates with an offer to study in a PGR programme from the Academic Year 2022-23 will be considered, but any offer will be subject to enrolment in a PGR programme. The contract duration will be aligned with the duration of the PGR programme. The maximum pro-rata for the contract is 0.17 FTE (corresponding to 277 hours annually), but applications for 0.10 FTE (corresponding to 163 hours annually) will also be considered.
