We are pursuing to appoint a full-time Senior Research and Project Manager for the upcoming Centre for Global Health & Equity within the Institute of Public Health and Wellbeing.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who isinterested in working in a dynamic environment and a multi-disciplinary team comprising of UK and international partners and is passionate about social change. This opportunity has arisen in the newly established Centre for Global Health & Equity within the Institute of Public Health & Wellbeing to provide support for implementation of project focusing on migration, mental health, gender-violence and migrants' well-being in Southern Asia and Africa.
This post plays the key coordinating function in the Centre, and its flagship NIHR-funded global health project - an international partnership/ consortium of universities and civil society organisations in five countries in southern Asia & Africa and plays a key function in liaising between the core research team and external partners (funder, advisors). You will be supported by the Director and work closely with coordinators located in partner institutions in other countries and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the project.
Candidates are required to have strong management, communication and technical skills including knowledge of computers and other communication media and programmes. You must be driven, willing to travel internationally for annual meetings and have a good knowledge and practice of implementing large international collaborative research or KE partnerships.
The prosperous candidate will have a postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a Social Sciences related area; grant management practice, including partner liaison, briefing, reporting, compliance to agreements and institutional bylaws; and project management practice, including superviseing logistics management specific to research projects.
