Applications are invited for a Research Associate in the development and application of analytical methods for antibiotics' analysis in environmental samples utilising state-of-the-art hyphenated chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques.
You will work withProfessor Barbara Kasprzyk-Hordernat the University of Bath,Dr Aimee Murray,Associate Professor Mario Recker,Professor William GazeandProfessor Angus Bucklingat the University of Exeter, the Environment Agency and Roche to explore antimicrobial resistance (AMR) evolution in environmental bacterial communities exposed to environmentally significant antibiotic mixtures and concentrations in controlled experiments, as well as in the wider environment.
This position is part of an NERC funded project entitled: ?Exploring understudied aspects of antimicrobial resistance evolution to improve environmental pollution policy.'

You will have, or expect to have very shortly, a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Sciences, Microbiology, or a related discipline and practice in mass spectrometry techniques applied to the analysis of small organic molecules.
This position is available from September 2022 for a period of 11 months.
