Job Offer: Charles Wilson Professor in Management (MGMT22-12):Job description:Job location: Durham The Department of Management and Marketing at Durham University seeks to appoint a talented individual to the function of Professor. We welcome applications from those with research and teaching interests in the broad field of Management with a focus on Business Enterprise and Innovation and we are particularly eager to hear from candidates with a focus on any of the following themes: » Entrepreneurship » leadership abilities » Marketing » Innovation/technology » Supply chain » Operations management » Sustaincapability » Regional development » Digital business models Durham University Business School (DUBS) was prosperous in obtaining £3.5 Million from Charles Wilson (until recently CEO of Booker Group) and his partner Dr Rowena Olegario to support a regional SME initiative called ?Smart & Scale Up' (S&S). The aims of this nine-year funding (starting from 2021) S&S initiative are to 1) Increase in innovation activities across the region, and 2) Support and development of new business models to support growth. To address these challenges, the project has identified four themes research themes: Emerging Technology adoption in SMEs; Supply Chains; leadership abilities; New Business Models. The appointed candidate will be responsible for the academic leadership abilities of the S&S initiative. candidates must demonstrate research excellence in the broad field of Business Enterprise and Innovation. It is expected that the prosperous candidate will have a strong track record of working with industry in general and SMEs in particular. Additionally, the prosperous candidate will have the capability to take a leading function in the development of the Department's research and teaching, and to fully engage in the services, citizenship and values of the University.
