MOLA is an practiced and innovative archaeology practice. We have been providing independent, professional heritage advice and services for over 40 years across the UK and internationally on schemes both large and small. Our commercial services are designed to help our development, infrastructure and construction sector clients to meet their planning process requirements swiftly and expertly, with the certainty and value they need.

The function
The managers will be responsible for superviseing the preparation, storage and deposition of MOLA's archaeological archives. The archives derive from a wide variety of sites and projects across the country, from small excavations to major infrastructure projects and they will require archiving to differing local repository standards. As well as the physical and documentary elements, many of the archives now contain a significant digital component and the managers will be working with the data creators, not only to ensure prosperous deposition but also to help advance our methodologies in this area.
MOLA's Archivists are integral to the wider multi-disciplinary team and as such, the managers will need to contact with other colleagues including our field teams, specialists and conservators so the integrity of the archive is maintained at every stage of a project's life. There will also be opportunities to contribute to MOLA's wider research and engagement work, by championing the social value and impact of our archives, contributing to research projects and working on public-facing engagement outputs.
