Job Opportunity: Desktop & Systems Support Technician:Job description:Job location: Southampton We are hunting for a tenacious IT Support Technician to join our dedicated team committed to providing high-quality support to the University's community of over 25,000 staff and students. About the function You will be providing face-to-face and remote support for the University's 13,000 Windows, Mac and Linux computers, helping our world-renowned academics, staff and students solve their IT problems. this function is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic IT technician who wants to lgain new expertise and progress within the field. This is a significant function where you will be supporting the world-changing research and teaching the University undertakes. What you'll do » Provide face-to-face and remote support for the University's network of Windows, Mac and Linux computers. » Support systems including Active directory, Office365, Exchange and a wide variety of other applications and network services. » Take ownership of support incidents and use your troubleshooting expertise to see them through to resolution. » Provide advice and guidance that enables our customers to harness the full power of the available IT.
