Job Offer: Finance & Procurement Administrator:Job description:Job location: Canterbury If you are an practiced administrator with excellent numeracy and IT expertise, we would welcome your application for this function. As a Finance & Procurement Administrator, you will provide generalist financial support to the Academic Division for the Study of Law, Society and Social Justice and be the first point of contact for general finance and procurement queries. In this function you will report to the Divisional Finance & Resources Manager and work closely with other divisional finance staff in order to deliver all aspects of the Division's financial requirements, in line with service level agreements and University financial regulations. This is an open-ended and full time position. As Finance & Procurement Administrator you will: » Support the Divisional Finance & Resources team as required, in close liaison with other staff with a finance related portfolio, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance » Administer a range of transactional financial processes to ensure the Division's financial administration meets University regulations including expenses claims, timesheet claims, credit card reconciliation, cash advances, petty cash, hospitality cards and online store items; ensuring they are recorded and reconciled correctly » Act as first point of contact for general finance queries ensuring excellent customer service is provided, taking ownership of queries by ensuring resolution or escalation, and adhering to all appropriate legislation, University and Divisional guidelines and policies » Administer procurement processes to ensure the Division's financial administration meets University guidelines and financial regulations; ensuring they are recorded and reconciled correctly To be prosperous in this function you will have/be: » GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent » Excellent and demonstrable numeracy expertise » High level of accuracy and attention to detail » Excellent interpersonal expertise including the capability to explain financial processes to non-financial staff » Good IT expertise, particularly Microsoft Office packages and a good knowledge of databases and spreadsheets The University of Kentis a distinctive and attractive place to work.
