The service comprises of four teams who, through their work, share the core values of accessibility and encouraging success for students.
SAS was initiallyformed in 2021 from the Disabled Student Services and Widening Participation portfolios. Originally called Widening Access and Success Services (WASS), we now have four distinct but closely working teams.

The function
The Co-ordinator, Discapability Support Team will provide information, advice and guidance to OU disabled candidates and students. Responsible for monitoring the level of calls and queries to ensure service levels are met. The Co-ordinator works alongside the Discapability Support Managers to assist with the planning and coordination of cover for VOICE (in-house system) and phones. You will also provide managery support to the team and acts as an escalation point for complex cases.
