The function
The function holder will be a member of the IET Administration Team working closely with other members and will provide cover and support as required. There will be collaboration and communication with other colleagues in IET, as well as stakeholders of varying seniority from across the University which requires tact, diplomacy and a high level of professionalism. The function holder is receptive to new ideas, responds quickly to change and sees change as an opportunity.
expertise and practice
   » Good level of Education including GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade 5/C or above) or equivalent practice.
   » Excellent IT expertise including up-to-date working expertise of Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook and use of Office 365 functions (OneDrive and SharePoint).
   » practice and evidence of working in a secretarial and administrative function involving managing busy electronic diaries as well as demonstrating attention to detail.
   » Excellent organisation, planning and time management expertise.
   » practice of organising meetings, recording and transcribing minutes and following up on actions as necessary.
   » Excellent interpersonal expertise, and practice of dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
