Contract Type: Permanent Full time (fixed term secondments and part time work will also be considered) income: Lecturer: Grade 8- £35,326 to £40,927 per annum together with USS benefits Senior Lecturer: Grade 9 - £42,149 to £50,296 per annum with USS benefits Job location: This position will be located at the Singleton Campus The School of Psychology at Swansea University, after a period of substantial strategic growth, is seeking to appoint Lecturers and Senior Lecturers in a number of key areas. The School has flourishing undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes. It also has a thriving research community with particular research strengths in many areas of psychology, including a range of applied areas of research. As part of the planned expansion of our BPS Stage 1 accredited MSc in Forensic Psychology programme, We are pursuing candidates interested in either a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position. The prosperous candidates will join the core programme team - providing teaching, research supervision and mentoring support to forensic psychology students. There will also be limited specialist input (year 3) to our BPS accredited undergraduate programmes. The MSc programme has excellent local and national service connections and is part of a wider suite of postgraduate programmes offered by the School of Psychology. We would particularly welcome applications from registered / chartered forensic psychologists seeking to work full or part time within a university setting. The position is offered on a full-time basis although fixed term secondments and part time appointments will be considered. Lecturer appointments will be on a Teaching OR Research pathway. candidates applying for the position at the Senior Lecturer level can apply with the aim of being on the Teaching OR Research OR Innovation and Engagement pathway. It is anticipated that if an appointment is made at Senior Lecturer level, the candidate will initially co-direct the MSc Forensic Psychology programme with a view to becoming the programme lead. All posts require high quality delivery of teaching and student learning, and a commitment to enhancing the overall student practice. The School would welcome candidates considering a partial FTE function, in conjunction with a significant professional appointment.
