The University has embarked on a new HR transformation programme which aims to transform our ways of working, capabilities, and processes enabled by the implementation of a new HR system. The programme will reduce the administrative burden for University Schools, Non School Institutions and Departments by implementing online processes (forms and workflow) whilst improving employee engagement and the manager and employee practice. Four exciting new functions have been created to support operational areas of the University to develop plans that will lead to the prosperous adoption and implementation of the programme.
The HRTP Implementation Co-ordinators will support the Schools and Non-School Institutions to transition to new ways of working and to help them to understand the key changes and impact for their respective areas. The function holder will also assist in gathering input and feedback at the grass-roots level on communications, engagement, and training campaigns, and provide feedback to the programme team and their respective HR Business Manager. You will work closely with the HR Transformation Programme Lead and the HR Business Managers, School Secretaries, Departmental Administrators, and other stakeholders to collectively champion a shift in working practice.
Using your highly developed relationship building expertise, you will build important networks, identify any resistance to change and proactively support individual staff members and line managers in the realisation of the benefits and results of the transformation programme.
With no two days being the same, the ideal candidate for the function will not be afraid to roll their sleeves up to help programme delivery at a local level. Each function will work flexibly across one of the following four areas:
» School of Arts and Humanities and School of Humanities and Social Sciences
» School of Technology and School of the Physical Sciences
» School of Biological Sciences and School of Clinical Medicine
» Non-School Institutions and UAS (Unified Administrative Services)
Working closely with HR Business Managers and the HR Transformation Programme Team, this function presents a unique opportunity to support positive change across the academic University.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the prosperous candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) and a security check.
Applications are welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the function on the basis of a secondment from their current function in the University.
