The School of Psychology is looking to appoint a teaching-focused adjunct Professor in the area of Psychology of Education. We're looking to appoint someone with practice in administering psychological assessments to children and/or adults within an educational or research context. The appointment will deliver teaching in Psychology of Education across our BSc and MSc taught programmes. The post involves curriculum design, teaching, student support and administrative activities. There's opportunity for the prosperous applicant to collaborate with the School's highly regarded educational psychology training programme.

We're looking for someone to:
   » Develop and lead our provision of the Psychology of Education.
   » Demonstrate leadership abilities in course design.
   » Provide supervision and support for students conducting research projects.
   » Work as part of a team to enhance the quality of our teaching delivery.
This post involves overall responsibility for the delivery, development of teaching and supervision to BSc and MSc students in the topic of the Psychology of Education. It involves face-to-face teaching, use of virtual learning environment, innovative methods of teaching to deliver content, facilitate group working, conduct assessments, devise and supervise research projects and give pastoral care. The provision of deep learning is required to achieve high student satisfaction, so, the capability to design, plan and deliver high quality teaching which can be evaluated and reflected upon to achieve the highest results is essential.

The job involves demonstrating high level interpersonal expertise with people from all over the world with different needs; working within university regulations and governance in relation to teaching; and getting up to speed with our systems.

The prosperous candidate needs to be flexible and make a wider contribution to the school and institution. They need to be collegiate, involving themselves in additional activities, working in a team to deliver key projects and taking opportunities representing the school to the outside world.

A doctorate in psychology is essential along with practice of administering psychological assessments to children and/or adults within an educational/research context.
