Job Opportunity: Rowling Clinical Fellow: Neuroinflammation:Job description:Job location: Edinburgh Closing date:15 July 2022, 5pm This one-year opportunity is open to motivated individuals who are qualified in medicine and within 2-3 years of completing specialist neurology training. The post-holder will work with Professor David Hunt to develop structures for translational study of neuroinflammatory disease. This will include developing NHS clinical care, clinical trials, educational resources and basic science research. Examples of responsibilities include: Conducting screening assessments, informed consent interviews, and clinical assessments; prescribing and checking of study drugs, across a range of studies and conditions as dictated by current Clinic priorities. The post provides considerable opportunities for training including mentorship, and exposure to a wide variety of observational and interventional clinical research studies, disease-specific registries, and specialist NHS clinics in neurology. Your expertise and attributes for success: » Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with full GMC registration » Within 2-3 years of completion of specialist neurology training » Proven analytical expertise » Strong communication expertise, and the capability to communicate appropriately, and with discretion, with patients, carers, healthy volunteers and colleagues » capability to organise and prioritise own work with minimal supervision, sometimes to tight deadlines » capability to work as part of a team Skills:
