Communications agent:Job description:Job location: Oxford There are two positions available.Full-time, or part-time (at least 0.6FTE), permanent. Do you feel strongly about educational opportunity and are motivated by the chance to improve access to Oxford for students from underrepresented backgrounds? Would you like to use your communication expertise to support a team whose work empowers these students to feel confident to apply? Our Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach department is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Communications adjunct to join its Information, Marketing and Communications team. This is a key public-facing function, and will give you the opportunity to gain practice in a variety of digital communications, and develop your expertise in web editing, social media planning and execution, as well as design, content creation, and the building of email newsletters. You will take the lead in responding to individual enquiries from candidates and their supporters - you will be a confident writer who can also clearly and diplomatically raise any concerns that are presented by enquiries. You will be keen to lgain and develop your expertise, and we will encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities for career development available to Oxford University staff. Our team strives to make sure that talented students from all backgrounds feel motivated and excited about applying to Oxford. We promote the Oxford student practice and demystify the undergraduate admissions process to potential and current candidates. We use a variety of digital communications channels in strategic and creative ways to give candidates all the information they need to apply to Oxford - these include the undergraduate admissions website (which typically receives around 14 million page views per year), social media (Twitter and Instagram), newsletters and our digital prospectus. We commission and produce engaging video content to inspire our candidates, and we are also in touch directly with candidates and their supporters (teachers and families) every day, giving them the information they need about applying to Oxford.
