Financially strong and seriously ambitious we offer our employees a family-friendly, compensateing career with lots of opportunities to progress.
At the University of Derby, innovation is in our DNA. That's why we're going from strength to strength, with 34,000 students, including 1,700 from overseas - people whose futures we will transform via industry-significant, expert teaching. It's also why we've redefined the way we approach Forensic Psychology, now embedded at the heart of a brand-new School of Psychology within our College of Health, Psychology and Social Care.
Working within the Discipline of Forensic Psychology, you will redefine best practice in learning and pedagogy for our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Equally importantly, you will enjoy close involvement in departmental administration and development, benefit from broad support to pursue your research and support us in the development and expansion of our portfolio.
To join us, you will have a PhD in Forensic Psychology (or be nearing submission) and Fellowship of the HEA (or a availability to work towards it with 18 months). You will also be a chartered member of the BPS (or willing to work towards it) . A capable and confident teacher, you will be skilled in module leadership abilities, adept at developing curricula and practiced in publishing in high quality, peer-reviewed research. You will also be a passionate advocate for Forensic Psychology, sharing our determination to operate at the forefront of this exciting and evolving discipline, and will be capable of communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences and securing their buy-in. Most importantly, you will be a true innovator, whose fresh and inspiring approaches will help us take our place as one of the leading global universities in the field of Psychology.
