Job Offer: Bio Contracts Lead:Job description:Job location: South Mimms income: £40,451 p.a. + benefits Job location: South Mimms Contract: Full time/ Permanent Ref: 219605 We have a great opportunity for a Bio Contracts Lead to join our Market Analysis , Manufacturing & Logistics (MML) Function within the Scientific Research and Innovation Group. this function is primarily located at our South Mimms site with occasional remote working a possibility, dependent upon the nature of the function. Not all functions will be appropriate for remote working. Please be aware that this function can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency enhance and improve the health of millions of people every day through the effective regulation of medicines and medical devices, underpinned by science and research. The Scientific Research and Innovation Group delivers public health impact, world-leading research innovation, and a unique regulatory proposition for patients and users via an ambitious Science Strategy which will balance innovation against sustaincapability and affordcapability. It is divided into 6 sub-Groups, Innovation Accelerator, Clinical Investigations and Trials, Research and Development, Standards Lifecycle, Control Testing and Quality Assurance and Health & Safety. The prosperous candidate will provide business support including appropriate legal agreements, contributing to the financial sustaincapability of business programmes such as the global delivery of biological reference materials. You will work as part of a small team, in collaboration with others, to assess business opportunities and their risks, and to develop the legal agreements necessary for their delivery. You will support other staff through provision of advice, guidance, and training. Who are we looking for? The prosperous candidate will have a significant qualification in contract law and/or IP, or equivalent practice. You will have a degree in either a life science- or legal-related subject. You will have practice of biological life sciences contract related issues such as IP, publication, confidentiality, payment terms, indemnities and liabilities. You will be a strong team-player and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication expertise, able to communicate clear legal advice to scientific and non-scientific audiences, both internal and external.
