Business Development agent:Job description:Job location: South Mimms income: £40,451 p.a. + benefits Job location: South Mimms Contract: Full time/ Permanent Ref: 219594 We have a great opportunity for a Business Development agent to join our Scientific, Research and Innovation Group. this function is primarily located at our South Mimms site with occasional remote working a possibility, dependent upon the nature of the function. Not all functions will be appropriate for remote working. Please be aware that this function can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. The Scientific Research and Innovation Group (SR&I) delivers public health impact, world-leading research innovation, and a unique proposition via an ambitious Science Strategy which will balance innovation against sustaincapability and affordcapability. It is divided into 6 sub-Groups, Innovation Accelerator, Clinical Investigations and Trials, Research and Development, Standards Lifecycle, Control Testing and Quality Assurance and Health & Safety. The prosperous candidate will be the point of contact for one or more scientific areas, responsible for providing business input to bring complex biological life science opportunities to fruition, in line with One Agency objectives, strategies and policies. You will provide business support to enable the delivery of the Agency's biological reference materials programmes - knowledge the market position of products, assess opportunities and risks and convert those opportunities into orders supported by a legal agreement. You will analyse and report on sales, market and other data to provide insight into end user habits of mature products and to establish the market potential of innovative materials in the pre-development stage of the lifecycle. Who are we looking for? The prosperous candidate will have a degree in a life sciences or related subject or equivalent knowledge. You will understand the biological Life Sciences sector gained from practice of working in a customer-facing business, marketing and/or knowledge/technology transfer function or similar. You will have practice of applying business acumen to maximise complex biological life science business opportunities in the life sciences sector. You will have excellent written and oral communication expertise, able to communicate complex bioscience and business concepts clearly to internal and external audiences.
