Harper Adams University is pleased to announce that it is recruiting for a Crop Trials Deputy Sector Manager to join the newly established Future Farm Team.
This is an exciting new venture, and the prosperous candidate will be involved in:
   » Selecting appropriate sites for growing and recording field trials with a range of arable crops;
   » Working with members of the wider Future Farm team to deliver diverse work programmes;
   » Liaising with academic colleagues and industry partners and students to ensure appropriate design, development and delivery of field operations;
   » Contributing to the wider Future Farm and University strategies, including ambitious net-zero targets;
   » Personal management and performance reporting;
   » Robust record keeping and compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements.
The prosperous candidate will have:
   » Proven practice in running field trials;
   » A demonstrated capability to lead a team of diverse individuals;
   » A strong expertise of arable production systems and experimental procedures;
   » PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates;
   » Familiarity with ARM and the Microsoft Office Suite;
   » A full UK driving licence.
