We are now looking for a Fieldwork Coordinator/Visiting Tutor at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David Carmarthen campus on a part-time, fixed term basis, working 22.2 hours per week. THE function The purpose of the function of Fieldwork Coordinator / Visiting Tutor is to work as a key member of the Youth Work Programme team to ensure the development, co-ordination and maintenance of fieldwork across the Youth Work and Social Education programmes at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. this function will include the responsibility of acting as Visiting Tutor, which is an integral function in ensuring effective placement practices. ABOUT YOU To be considered as a Fieldwork Coordinator/Visiting Tutor, you will need: » Hold a JNC recognised professional qualification in Youth Work » Demonstratable substantial practice in Youth and CommunityWork » practice of supervising others » capability to lead taught sessions to students » Knowledge of safeguarding guidelines and capability to support students to develop safe working practices » An knowledge of the learning and development needs of students » A student centered approach » An capability to develop and an knowledge of University policy » Excellent communication expertise (verbal and written) with the capability to communicate effectively at all levels within the University, with students and staff, and externally with placement providers » capability to plan effectively and to prioritise own workload » capability to apply attention to detail when required » capability to meet tight deadlines when required » Possess effective presentation expertise » Demonstrate commitment, drive, motivation and » Demonstrate excellent organisational expertise and forward planning It would also be beneficial if you have: » capability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (oral and written).
