- THE function -
The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of all core financial transactional activities within the University and will be expected to have a significant influence on the future development of these services. The postholder will be part of the Finance leadership abilities team and will participate in the Finance Directorate planning process to support the University's strategic direction.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance the postholder is expected to have a passion for delivering high quality professional services and innovative in their approach to problem solving. The Head of Financial Services will have an inclusive, determined, inspirational and authentic approach to leadership abilities, encouraging ideas, initiative and innovation in others whilst establishing a cost-effective and high-performance culture.
The major services to be grouped within this division include, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Pensions, VAT, Insurance and Student Finance (Tuition Fees).
This is a permanent, full-time position.
- ABOUT YOU -
The postholder will be required to hold:
- A primary degree.
And will be:
- A qualified accountant in one of the following bodies: CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or CPA.
